Training & Certificate Program

The following outlines the comprehensive training and certificate program for Converus products – EyeDetect®, EyeDetect+® and VerifEye® (U.S. Patent Pending). This program is designed with flexibility in mind, offering a tiered approach that can be tailored to different learning styles and organizational needs. It provides the necessary instruction to use Converus products effectively and allows individuals to demonstrate competence through testing and certification.

Training Choices

A Converus trainer will provide a free assessment to determine the training required for your organization and determine a course of action for online or customized training for an hour, a day, or a week. To schedule a meeting, please email [email protected].

Get free access to all training materials online for self-guided study. These materials, including video recordings of training presentations, slides, and other resource documents, are available at no cost. Participants can rely on this training to prepare for certification testing. To request access, please email [email protected].

Join a free, 60-minute Teams call with a Converus trainer and up to 10 attendees from one or more organizations. These workshops provide valuable interactive training on general topics each month, supplementing online training videos. To determine which workshops are best, please email [email protected].

Schedule a free 45-minute Teams meeting with a Converus trainer to discuss specific topics or questions. Consultations offer more advanced or detailed information for problem-solving, knowledge transfer, and best practice training. Limit one per organization per month. After discussing training requirements with a Converus trainer, we will create a plan for virtual, customized training for an hour, a day, or a week. Professional services fees apply and depend on the duration of training. This offering can replace online, self-paced training. Participants may rely on this training to prepare for certification testing. To schedule a training needs assessment, please email [email protected].

After discussing training requirements with a Converus trainer, we will create a plan for onsite, face-to-face training for 3 to 5 days. Professional service fees apply and depend on the number of participants, duration, and instructor travel costs. This offering replaces all other training. Course Requirements

  5. Pass online test – 60 questions – 90% required

EyeDetect Test Proctor+- Preparing for and administering tests with EyeDetect Station and Physio Tracker v2

Course Requirements

  1. Obtain EyeDetect Test Proctor Certificate
  2. Have access to a Physio Tracker v2
  3. Watch required training videos
  4. Review other required resources
  5. Optional: Attend EyeDetect+ workshop
  6. Pass online test – 40 questions – 90% required
  7. Administer 2 hybrid tests (HMCT or HDLC) for Converus to review and approve charts

  5. Pass online test – 50 questions – 90% required
  6. Complete 2 MCT Practical Exercises and submit for review

Hybrid MCT (HMCT) Test Writer - Write multi-issue topic tests that will be administered with a Physio Tracker v2

Course Requirements

  1. Obtain EyeDetect MCT Test Writer certificate
  2. Have access to Physio Tracker v2
  3. Have personal login for online Dashboard account
  4. Watch required training videos
  5. Optional: Attend MCT Test Writer workshop
  6. Pass online test – 20 questions – 90% required
  7. Complete 2 HMCT Practical Exercises and submit for review

*Estimated time to completion: 2 – 3 hours

Audio MCT (AMCT) Test Writer - Write multi-issue topic tests where no reading is required of examinee - no text presented on screen

Course Requirements

  1. Obtain EyeDetect MCT Test Writer certificate
  2. Have personal login for online Dashboard account
  3. Watch required training videos
  4. Optional: Attend MCT Test Writer workshop
  5. Pass online test – 15 questions – 90% required
  6. Complete 2 AMCT Practical Exercises and submit for review

Hybrid DLC (HDLC)/DLC2 Test Writer - Write single-issue topic tests, whether with or without a Physio Tracker v2

Course Requirements

  1. Obtain EyeDetect Test Proctor & Administrator certificates
  2. Have personal login for online Dashboard account
  3. Watch required training videos
  4. Optional: Attend DLC Test Writer workshop
  5. Pass online test – 55 questions – 90% required
  6. Complete 2 HDLC/DLC2 Practical Exercises and submit for review

*Estimated time to completion: 5 – 6 hours

DLC3 - Write single-issue topic tests without a Physio Tracker v2 (Algorithm includes field study data)

Course Requirements

  1. Obtain EyeDetect Test Proctor & Administrator certificates

  4. Optional: Attend DLC Test Writer workshop
  5. Pass online test – 55 questions – 90% required
  6. Complete 2 DLC3 Practical Exercises and submit for review

  4. Optional: Attend VerifEye Test Writer workshop
  5. Pass online test – 50 questions – 90% required
  6. Complete 2 VerifEye Practical Exercises and submit for review

  4. Pass the online test – 90 questions – 90% required

How to Complete Courses

Standard and Other

  1. Complete any prerequisite training course(s)
  2. View required videos
  3. Review User Guide(s) and other required resources
  4. Optional: Attend workshop for more customized assistance
  5. Pass online knowledge test
  6. For EyeDetect Test Proctor+, must have access to a Physio Tracker v2 and administer 2 hybrid protocol tests (HMCT or HDLC) for Converus to review and approve charts

Advanced (Test Writers)

  1. Complete any prerequisite training course(s)
  2. Have personal login to online dashboard account
  3. View required videos
  4. Review User Guide(s) and other required resources
  5. Optional: Attend workshop for more customized assistance
  6. Pass online knowledge test
  7. Pass practical exercise reviews
  8. For Hybrid MCT (HMCT), also have access to a Physio Tracker v2

Certificates of Course Completion

Converus provides certificates of completion for each course

Validity of Certificate: 2 Years
Certification Expiration: If certificate expires, the following applies:

Standard Course Certificate Use product without current certificate
Advanced Course Certificate Access to online Test Manager is disabled

 Retake and pass online knowledge test every 2 years
Advanced Courses (Test Writers)

  • MCT
  • AMCT
  • HMCT
  • HDLC/DLC2
  • DLC3

  1. Write 2 or more tests every 2 years to remain active
  2. If inactive, Test Manager access auto-disabled
  3. If active, Converus sends formal evaluations of tests
    • Score 80% or above to auto-renew
    • Score less than 80%, redo test and submit for reevaluation
  4. Can send tests to Converus to evaluation prior to expiration to qualify for auto-renewal
